valentines flowers delivery U.S. Rep. John Shimkus, R-Collinsville, asked the public to sendValentine’s Day so you can pass along Veterans and soldiers in the army.

Valentin for the heroes began in 2008. Since then, thousands ofvalentines were distributed to soldiers and are collected by staffveterani.Valentines Shimkus and then distributed to the Veterans Administration and military installations before Valentine’s Day.

“Miles Valentine come to my office every year since it began onValentine’s Day for Heroes,” Shimkus said in a news release.”People in central and southern Illinois are extremely generous and supportive of our men and women, past and present. ”

Doug Bugger, a spokesman for Shimkus said the staff tried to count the number of Valentine’s Day they received in 2008. They stopped counting when they arrived in 7600 and Valentine were still to come.

“Every year we have about the same amount or slightly more,” saidBugger.

Valentin received after the deadline last year are included in the lotthis year.

Valentin will be accepted by the Office of Shimkus’ until February 6.

Here are some basic rules to follow to send Valentine cards:
